Authors’ Guidelines

Before You Submit

We've designed our submission process to be as clear and efficient as possible. Review the guidelines below before proceeding. They are intentionally concise because we believe the process should never stand between you and your contribution.

Originality and Exclusivity
Confirm that your manuscript is original and that it has not been submitted to, nor is under consideration by, any other journal. Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is a serious ethical breach and places an unnecessary burden on reviewers, editors, and the broader scholarly community. Submit to NudgEd and to NudgEd alone.

Third-Party Material

If your work incorporates any third-party content, ensure that you have obtained the appropriate permissions prior to submission. This is particularly important for review articles.

Submission Format

All submissions must be made through our online portal. We do not accept manuscripts via email. Please submit your work as a Word document only. Do not submit in any other format. Send us a clean, unformatted document. You do not need to style your manuscript to match the final published layout. That is our responsibility once your work is accepted. Simply provide your text along with any images, tables, and graphs, and we will take care of the rest.

Blinded Manuscript

NudgEd upholds a strict double-blind review process to ensure the fairest possible evaluation of your work. Neither the reviewers nor you will know who the other is. To protect this process, your manuscript must contain no author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or funding information. All identifying details should appear exclusively on the title page, which is handled separately. Manuscripts that do not meet this requirement will be returned, and this will result in an avoidable delay to your submission.

Title Page

Submit a separate title page that includes the full names and institutional affiliations of all authors, the name and email address of the corresponding author (institutional email is preferred, though personal email is also acceptable), identification of the corresponding author, and acknowledgement of any grants, funding sources, or financial sponsorship associated with the research. This information will be incorporated into the final published version once your manuscript has been accepted.

Author Contributions and Competing Interests

At the end of your manuscript, include a brief statement outlining each author's contribution using their initials, followed by a description of their role. Additionally, disclose any potential competing interests, whether financial or otherwise. Full transparency at this stage strengthens the integrity of your work and the review process.

Referencing Style

Use APA 7th edition for all citations and references. If you are citing web-based sources, include the full URL along with the date last accessed.

A Final Note

We look forward to supporting you through this process. Our goal is to make submission as seamless as possible so that your focus remains where it should be, on the quality and impact of your research.
